FAQ About Skin Care
Q Will a facial cause me to break out?
A Not everyone will experience a break out from a facial, but if impurities are present in the skin a facial can draw them to the surface.
Q Will waxing cause the hair to grow back darker and/or thicker?
A At first the hair will grow the same, but over time and after several waxings the hair will actually weaken. Less hair will grow back and the hair will no longer be coarse. After several months or years the hair will eventually stop growing.
Q What is the recovery time after Microdermabrasion?
A The skin will be a light shade of pink almost like a very slight sunburn, but goes away within hours. You do need to stay out of the sun for 48 hours following the treatment.
Q How many inches can I expect to loose in a body wrap?
A There is no standard for telling how many inches a person will lose after a body wrap. The purpose of our body wraps are to break down the toxins in the fat cells, allowing the body to release the toxins easily when dieting and working out. Body wraps are not a rapid weight loss procedure.
Q What is the recovery time for Photo-Rejuvenation?
A There is no recovery time. Your skin will not be red after the treatment and you can return to your daily schedule immediately after a treatment.
Q What brand of makeup does LeSpalon use?
A We use Des Image. We have our very own makeup with the finest ingredients, manufactured in New York. We can custom blend to match any skin color.
Q Are chemical peels dangerous?
A No. Our licensed Esthetician is trained in using the different kinds of peels and strengths that we offer. We can perform a patch test to determine the strength and which peel is right for your skin.

Q Is the procedure painful?
A Though there is very little discomfort in most procedures a topical anesthetic is applied.
Q Do I have a choice of colors?
A Of course. There are a wide range of colors that you may choose from.
Q Do I get to choose where to place the pigments?
A Of course. You will be fully aware during the procedure and able to instruct the technician where you wish implants to be located.
Q What is involved in recovery?
A In some cases there will be slight swelling and redness of skin, which will subside quickly. You may resume normal activities immediately following the procedure. Normal healing is a process with final results not fully realized for at least two weeks.

Q Can I perm color treated hair?
A Yes, depending on the texture and condition of the hair.
Q How long does a perm last?
A A perm lasts about three months.
Q Can I decide how curly my perm will be?
A No, it depends on your hair texture and condition.
Q Will medication affect my perm?
A Yes, certain medications affect the quality of the perm. Please consult your hair stylist if you are taking any medication prior to your perm.

Q How often do I have to get a touchup?
A Depending on the size of the curl. If you are controlling the frizz and have wavy hair then you would need a touch-up in 6 months to a year. If you have very tight curls then you may need a touch-up anywhere from 3 to 6 months.
Q What about the humidity?
A Even in 100% humidity your hair will stay straight and silky.

Q If I do not care to have the service(s) done that are listed on my gift Card, may I use it towards something else?
A Yes, you may apply the dollar value of the Gift Card towards any service or retail items in the salon. If your gift certificate is for a Day of Beauty and you do not wish to use all of the services included, you may apply the dollar value of the gift certificate towards the service of your choice at regular price.
Q May I receive a cash refund on my Gift Card?
A No. LeSpalon does not issue cash refunds for gift card. If you do not wish to select a service, we have a large selection of care products and retail items to choose from.
